Myrrine looks out at the world from her doorstep. She sees boys and men walking through the city, learning from their teachers, visiting the Agora. Everything beyond her home seems incredible. What about her? She’s usually with her mother in the women’s quarters of the house. But that all changes one day, when her father takes her by the hand and leads her up to the Acropolis. What does that famous Athenian hill have in store for her? Let’s find out together! “Friends from Ancient Times” is a series of books that takes us into the past to discover important civilisations, monuments, and archaeological sites and find out what they were really like.
