Η έκδοση κυκλοφόρησε με την ευκαιρία της ομότιτλης έκθεσης, η οποία οργανώθηκε στο Μουσείο Μπενάκη από τις 9 Νοεμβρίου έως τις 13 Δεκεμβρίου του 2009. Παρουσιάζει το έργο έξι Ελλήνων ζωγράφων από τη Συλλογή του Σωτήρη Φέλιου, οι οποίοι ακολουθούν νεο-παραστατικές τάσεις και εστιάζουν κυρίως στη σκιαγράφηση της ανθρώπινης μορφής και του σύγχρονου τοπίου. Πρόκειται για τους: Στέφανο Δασκαλάκη, Τάσο Μαντζαβίνο, Χρήστο Μποκόρο, Κώστα Παπανικολάου, Γιώργο Ρόρρη και Εδουάρδο Σακαγιάν.
